I believe...

...that Joseph Smith is a prophet of God. I believe He saw our Heavenly Father and His Son, our older brother, Jesus Christ in the Sacred Grove. I believe in his sacrifices and his revelations and know that, without them, I wouldn't be where I am today.

...that these are real, and that Joseph Smith translated them through the power of an Almighty God...

...into what we know today as The Book of Mormon. I believe that this is not only the most wonderful and beautiful book to ever be written, but that it is the most true book over any in the world. It has given me answers to difficult questions that I could not find anywhere else. I believe it was written by ancient prophets, and that every single word is truth.

...that the most important thing in this life is my family. I believe that through the Plan of Salvation that we will live together forever in the most glorious place; a place beautiful beyond description...

...that this is the closest we can get on this earth to that glorious place. I believe that it is through the saving ordinances of the temple that I can be with my family for eternity. I believe that one day I will enter through the doors of this very place to be married and sealed to my companion, sweetheart, and best friend forever.

...that revelation from God is still given today. I believe in modern day prophets. I believe every single word of President Thomas S. Monson, because he literally speaks for Jesus Christ. I believe that he was hand-picked by God to help us through hard times. I believe him to be a happy, inspirational and guided man, and I love him dearly.

...that He, Jesus Christ, is the reason for it all. I believe that He is the literal Son of God. I believe that He lived a life of miracles; that He raised the dead, healed the sick, comforted the mourning, and was a friend to all. I believe in the Atonement that He went through for me. I believe that because of it, He knows everything that I am going through, and He has never left my side because He doesn't want me to be alone. I believe that were it not for Him, there would be no hope left. But He lives, so hope is incredibly abundant no matter how dreary the world seems. I believe that He will come again. I believe that He loves me, and because I believe that I will always have the strength to move forward.

I believe in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
